Seller guarantees the puppy to be healthy and free of disease upon receipt by Buyer.  Buyer agrees to have the puppy examined by a licensed Veterinarian within 3 days of receipt. The Buyer may return the puppy for a full refund or replacement within 7 days if a problem is found.

The puppy is guaranteed to be free of crippling hereditary hip dysplasia. Seller must be notified of defect by the time the animal is 28 months of age. Seller agrees to either Credit one-half of the original purchase price towards another puppy when available or refund of the original purchase price.

The affected dog may be kept, but must be neutered. The guarantee is null and void if the dog has been bred, or has produced a litter. The notice of verification of neutering shall be written by the attending veterinarian on his/her professional letterhead which will include his/her business name, address, and phone number.

           In order to be considered breeding quality, the dog must:

           Have an OFA certification of good or excellent.

           Have normal thyroid levels.

           Be of good conformation as defined in the official AKC breed standard.

           Exhibit a stable temperament not excessively aggressive.

The dog may only be bred to another purebred Anatolian Shepherd that has passed all the criteria’s listed above.

Buyer agrees to enroll dog in a formal socialization class before dog is (6) months old, to secure early control of dog. Can be obedience, conformation or similar structured training classes for control. Schutzhunde training is not recommended for this breed! If Buyer enrolls dog in any class or private training for the sole purpose of teaching dog to do bite work (i.e. schutzhunde, attack,police) without sellers permission, all guarantees herein offered shall become null and void.

The Buyer agrees to return the puppy/dog to J-Haven Anatolian's at his/her own expense if they are no longer able to keep it.  The animal may not be given away, sold, placed in a shelter, or euthanasia without written consent of the Seller.  The exception to this agreement would be euthanasia in the event of severe trauma, or suffering on the part of the animal.

Buyer agrees to continue the immunizations already started, as recommended by their veterinarian, and to maintain regular veterinary care, including, but not limited to heartworm & flea/tick preventative, and to provide necessary medical treatment in the event of an accident/injury of the dog as recommended by their veterinarian. Any dog returned to Seller that tests POSITIVE for heartworms will be treated at buyers expense. Veterinary Reference is a must. 

Buyer agrees to provide adequate fencing to prevent escape, and provide protection from excessive heat and cold. This dog shall be not continuously tied or allowed to roam at large. 

Buyer agrees to feed a high quality complete dog food, 21% to 24% protein and 12-15% fat. Puppies should be fed a high quality food specifically prepared for giant or large breed puppies. Feeding to low or to high protein or fat, and/or unbalanced vitamin/mineral puppy food is detrimental to the health of your dog and nullifies the health guarantee for said dog. 

Buyer agrees to have dog neutered or spayed (if not already done by Seller) by the time the dog is 12 months old for dogs sold on limited registration (non breeding animals). If the dog is not neutered or spayed within that time, this contract is null and void.

Buyer agrees, Kennel Name, J-Haven’s, will precede dogs given name.

What puppies are given before leaving the farm:

1. Dewormed from 3 weeks of age once a week until they leave.
2. Veterinarian checked and vaccinated started.
3. Microchipped.
4. Puppy kits with information for your new puppy.
